In this edition’s closing talk, SAFAR curator Rabih El-Khoury speaks with Algerian filmmaker Karim Sayad on filming the intimate portrait of his cousin, Fahed, who settled in the United Kingdom many moons ago. One of many who have left Algeria looking for better opportunities, Fahed is torn between staying in the industrial town of Grimsby, post-Brexit and his dark desire to return to Algeria and start anew.
